The best thing about Sony’s PlayStation brand is that it’s instantly recognized. Most Australians have grown up with a PlayStation 1 or 2 in their home, so the transition to the new PlayStation 3 should be a logical and easy one. However, Sony may be single-handedly making that transitio...

We had an good Valentine weekend. On Friday evening, Lori went to get a haircut as her gift. She also swung by Pearl Vision to pick up her new glasses (which Pearl messed up the first time). She seems to have had a nice time getting her hair done. It appears that Pearl (yet again) screwed up her gla...

SingStar for the PS3 was released in December 2007 (in Europe). Was meant to be the console's killer app amongst those who didn't fancy Heavenly Sword, but it hasn't really worked out that way. That's mostly because PS2 owners who play SingStar still play SingStar on the PS2. Sony keep releasing PS2...

We know it's more hip to hate on pop music that to sing its praises (get it?), but we'll admit that the lineup for the upcoming US/PS3 edition of SingStar actually looks decent. There's representation from The Ramones, The Smashing Pumpkins and David Bowie (as well as a ton of other excellent artist...

Who said we wanted more PS2 SingStar games? Europe, was it you? Thought so. Thanks a lot. You could at least have asked for one with a specific theme or genre (the world still needs SingStar Gregorian Chants), but no. You had to go asking for some crummy "SingStar Summer Party" compilation, which fe...

Oh, PS3 SingStar, how are you managing to blow such a sure thing? Since the game's launch late last year it's been a shell of an experience, with a crummy, limited tracklist making it a poor relation to the PS2's varied and expansive libraries. In an effort to remedy this, Sony have been trying a li...
