Filed under: iPod Family, Reviews, TUAW Faceoff MovieWedge and MiniRizer essentially do the same thing: they provide a stand for your iPhone, iPod, or other teensy portable device (BlackBerry Storm?). If you've ever sat for an hour on a plane, holding your iPhone in your hand like a dope, staring do...

Seriously folks, is it really that hard? Can we North Americans get a few PMPs like this one, or are we destined to have but a few kinda-sorta similar Archos units to choose from? South Korea is proving yet again that its PMP designers are truly top notch with the FineDrive iQ500, which proudly spor...

Don’t be fooled by the angled extension next to the lisse T10’s LCD screen; the latest portable media player from MyRacer is pretty similar in design to the iRiver Spinn. The main “borrowed” attribute is the spinning navigation cylinder, but both players have a touchscreen as...

It was hard to give back Samsung's P3 after caressing it for a few moments at CES, knowing we'd be sadly separated for at least a few months waiting for an indeterminate release date sometime before July. Today that official arrival is still just as vague, but now our hearts yearn just a little more...

Hello people! Hope everyone’s having a great weekend. Sorry if I wasn’t able to publish a roundup last week. I was very busy the whole weekend and I also got sick for a couple days which is also the reason why I wasn’t able to publish any new posts until the end of the week. To mak...

The E100 was a little weak for the iriver name, but at $59 for 8GB of PMP deliciousness, it's hard to resist. Walmart is clearing out the black iteration for $40 off the original price, and while we'd hate to presume and be wrong, we're hoping this is just a sign that iriver's gonna go all out at CE...

Last week we showed you an unboxing of COWON’s latest Portable Media Playing creation and you had to know we’d be following it up with a full-on review. We wanted to take a little while to play with the S9 and cover every square inch of its functionality before bringing you a hands on re...

We have to hand it to our friends at Cowon. In a world that has forgotten the PMP, thanks to media-enabled mobile devices like the iPhone, Cowon keeps moving forward. The Cowon S9 Curve is the latest curve-ball by the edgy PMP developer. The S9 Curve features a 3.3-inch AMOLED touch screen (...

In the initial first day of use with the Verizon Samsung Omnia, I was pretty frustrated. Much of that frustration was misplaced and was a hold over of the HTC Touch Pro I now have boxed and ready for return. What lowered my frustration with the Omnia? The first is clearly seeing th...

Filed under: Handhelds, Portable Audio, Portable Video It's not that Electro Box's miShake PMP looks especially like anything else we've seen, but it sure takes an awful lot of cues from, shall we say, more popular brands. We won't even bother explaining the miShake name, but what is important to no...
