This message was preached on Sunday 8th March 2009. "Positioning Ourselves for Heaven to Kiss Earth" Open your Bibles to the Song of Solomon - that is the whole theme. Trust God to live in health. Healing is great but living in health is far better! It is wonderful to be healed but it's a lot better...

In the midst of life with confusion, trial, suffering, tribulation - I am increasingly coming to realise that the only thing that can meet that longing is God's passion for His people. So I was thrilled and greatly encouraged to read Terry Virgo's latest ...

Over the past year I have heard more than a few Christians talk about the Song of Solomon as a marriage manual recounting and encouraging the joys of sexual intimacy. I understand how they get there and appreciate why they think it is important, but I believe this is an unfortunate perspective...

"In his commentary on Canticles or the Song of Solomon, Edwards joined the long line of expositors who have addressed the question of the nature of the song. He left no ambiguity in his answer. It is "no common love song or epithalamium" - a judgement he also rendered about Psalm 45. On the contrary...

When thinking of Rebekah as the new bride, we should also think of the Song of Solomon. The Beloved calls his bride “My sister” (SoS 4:9, 10, 12; 5:1,2). Sarah was Abraham’s sister, and now Rebekah is Isaac’s cousin. Israel was a daughter as well as a bride, and thus all of t...
