There may be no better man to target for cheap swipes than Houston’s Michael Bourn, right. Welcome back to the 2009 RotoRob MLB Draft Kit. Over the next few weeks, we will be rolling out cheat sheets with analysis, essays and the classic Top 10 Lists that Fantasy Owners Always Wanted But Were ...

Ah, how far the mighty have fallen. Was it only a couple of weeks ago that I was being coldly informed by LOTS of Astros fans that the Stros were headed for the playoffs and how everyone except Bourn/Towles were awesome and everything would be perfect if only we could swap out Quintero for Towles an...

Well, Chacon sure as heck couldn’t blame the defense for his 7 run 2nd inning batting practice he threw. First batter was Glaus - he hung a fat one and Glaus put it in the window in left closest to the Hill. Bourn kinda looked up at it to wave byebye. Molina grounds out on a 3-1, then Kennedy ...

I guess you could put it like that. This was one of the worst road trips I can remember since the beginning of 2005 when the Astros lost all of their first 19 games on the road except for the one that Roy won at Cincy. Towles and Bourn were benched today, so can’t nobody blame them THIS time. ...

How can I put this nicely? This is reminding me of early 2005. I know there are plenty of fans out there who, for some reason, think that if you are a ML pitcher it means you should go out every single time and give up only a few hits, no homers and no runs AND throw a complete game of 150-200 pitch...

Harold Reynolds, now on mlb.com, wrote this interesting entry about himself. But when I read it, I immediately thought of Mchael Bourn: “… I would struggle through that season, playing part-time and hitting only .144. Miserable, frustrated and unsatisfied with my performance, I considere...

I see that Coop restored the old batting order and it seems to have worked. Barely, because although the guys had 13 hits and 4 walks, they left 9 on base and Lance stole a base, but Michael Bourn got caught stealing twice. Well, actually, really only once because the first time, the SS missed the t...

I received the following email today from a man named Kevin Hayward:Â Here’s a riddle for the Houston Astros to chew on: how valuable is an incredible base runner that rarely reaches base? When the Astros acquired Michael Bourn they envisioned a spark plug at the top of the order, a speedy ce...

Well, this is a change - actually WINNING an extra inning game in which we were losing, but managed to tie up. I guess we’re used to the other way around, in which we’re winning, the bullpen blows it, we run through the bullpen and a zillion innings, then lose on a grounder juuuust past ...

OK, it isn’t quiiiite like that, but hey, a pitcher hitting a home run, especially the one that started a 5 run inning, is just awesome. Brandon gave up a leadoff homer to Rickie Weeks, who went all Pujols on a hanging curve - well, the ball woulda left the park if it hadn’t hit the trai...
