Here's a quick feature we've been getting a lot requests for lately: HTML that uses Blogdigger to search your blog. You can take these code snippets and add them to your blog's homepage to provide your readers with a quick way of searching your past posts.

There's two ways to set this up. If you are on your own domain, you can use the site search parameter. For example, here's a snippet of HTML to search Read/Write Web, by Richard MacManus:

Notice that you can choose to sort results by date or relevance (just comment/uncomment as you see fit).

Another option is to use the blogID parameter. I will ashamedly admit that, currently, there isn't a simple way to find your blogID; I would suggest doing a search for some of your recent posts, clicking on the "Focus" link, and retrieving the blogID from there. We'll get a wizard set up shortly. Here's a snippet for searching Paper Chase:

Feel free to customize the HTML to your heart's desire. For best results, make sure your blog pings Blogdigger each time you update (use http://www.blogdigger.com/RPC2) And if you need assistance getting this working, don't hestiate to email me and we'll get it going.
